Musical life

I started in the mid 80ies with my first band "Finest Collection". In 1988 we released our first and only single "The Time Will Come" (B-Side: "When the sun is goings down“, both written by our genius drummer Marco Fähland). Actually we were more focussed on playing in front of a small, but enjoyable crowd than on recording. So we toured around a bit across Germany, some small gigs, some bigger festivals, some band contests, the usual stuff.

Together with 2 band-mates (Andreas Böschemeyer, Marco Fähland) we wrote and performed two musicals, "Funny Creatures“ and "Arsen und spitze Täubchen“, being performed in Hamburg and Milton Keynes, England.

What pays the pints...

After having studied a couple of years media engineering at the university of Hamburg, I started 1994 working as a freelance sound engineer. After that I switched over to video editing. Next step was graphic/web design, 3D & motion graphics and than finally working as creative and art director, copywriter and designer for advertising campaigns.

Companies

In 2004 me and my partner Louise Kirchmann founded the design & media agency „Louphi - Die Buntermacher ®“, which lasted till 2011 when we were finally moving to Málaga. Since then I work again as a freelancer under the brand Phil Bauch - Visual Compositions.

Daily life

Beside of this, I am passionate photographer and love to hang out with my friends from all around the world, mostly in my favourite bar Bar Picasso in Málaga. Whenever you are around, you‘re invited to our table sharing a nice time.
